Mind: a Strange Place

MIND

The human mind is the sum of various mental processes such as observation, perception, thought, reasoning, feeling, desire, imagination, memory, and judgment. It is not a separate object that has or possesses these mental processes. The mind is these mental processes. For example, If you remove a chair’s back, seat, arms, and legs, for a person who doesn’t possess any such mental processes it’s simply that there is no chair but on the contrary, a person with a different mindset or thinking may say that there is a presence of a ghost. The mind is thus another name that summarizes these mental processes and activities.

The human spirit grows as the body grows. It gets more complicated with age. In other words, our mental processes become richer and more complex every day. For example, there are differences in the way adults and 3-year-olds think and 25-year-olds think. As was once believed, the human mind is not the sum of all conscious mental processes. It also includes preconscious and unconscious processes. However, it should be noted that the spirit is one. He has three levels at which it works. At some level, we are aware of our mental processes. That is "consciousness".

On another level, we are unaware of our mental processes. This gives us the 'unconscious', but on another level, we are unaware of our mental processes at any given time, although we have been aware of them before and are aware of them again if we try. This is our preconscious.

THOUGHTS

Every individual is different, every individual thinks differently, feels differently, and analyzes differently. A person can be guilty according to someone’s perspective; on the contrary, that person can be considered not guilty. To live a peaceful life, one of the most important things for an individual is to express himself properly.

Expression is related to an individual’s thought process. It’s a simple combination and understanding, the clearer your thoughts are the clearer you are as an individual.

There will be a lot of times when your expression would turn violent in nature although you wouldn’t mean it or sometimes out of anger you might express it in form of “frustration or irritation.” These situations are very common in any corporate world where an employer and an employee enter an argument or to be specific one-sided sided argument” because obviously, not many individuals dare to stand up and speak in front of someone superior, in such situations a person with a clear and crisp thought process will not hesitate in standing up for something wrong. A similar situation arises in today’s youth where they are either too aggressive or too scared, apparently, there is no moderate way out, and because of such nature and unclear thought processes and analysis, relationships end on a bad note. I guess this is the reason our elders say “it’s better to understand first than to regret later.”

NATURE

Nature, simple to spell but complex to understand. Every individual tries their best to express or sometimes hide their true nature just because not everyone understands. In this world full of selfish and judgmental people it’s honestly very hard to be who we really are, it’s like we can try our best but there might be a possibility that the person understands nothing on the contrary there are some to whom we don’t even need to explain, just by our nature they understand.

We see people who are unexpectedly bold by nature i.e. they don’t care where they are, they speak what they feel irrespective of others’ feelings and emotions, such individuals tend to have less interaction with people, don’t have many friends, mostly spend their time alone not because they want to but because other people don’t want to spend time with such bold natured people.

There are some who hide their real nature because he/she knows that the world is too selfish to appreciate the “real me.” It’s like if we are good to them in return they’ll be good to us. Understanding Human Psychology is a very tricky thing to do, each part will have different tangents and aspects which we tend to miss out on because of which we miss judge people. The good becomes bad and bad becomes good, all of these depend on an individual nature, “everyone is good”, “I don’t trust him he’s a bad guy”, and “the person might be good I need to observe more”.

RUMINATION

In modern days Rumination or Overthinking is a very frequently yet misunderstood word, people are like “oh even I am an Overthinker” but to be honest I don't think that’s how this works.

For an overthinker smallest to smallest details matter or rather affect them. Just for example if they are thinking about say topic X that would lead or somehow relate to another topic say Y then Z, it's like a never ending chain of thoughts which is far more dangerous than it seems.

If not realized at the right time a person can be stuck in his or her thoughts for endless amount of time, it's like a quick sand, the harder you try the more you keep getting swallowed in. When people are zoned out, that's just a small example of this, multiply it by 10-20x that's the minimum intensity of being trapped in your own thoughts. The worst part of this is no one can help you to get out f it, you yourself have to pull yourself out of this mess, people will say “I understand that you are an "overthinker” but the sad part is even if they try to understand they cannot cause it is not possible until and unless you be in that situation.

Overthinking is not just thinking a lot, it's far more deep and intense than that. This hits you the most in your darkest hour, when you are on your own, people have difficulty sleeping at night, why? Because their brain is not in a peaceful state, the majority of them might be overthinking, it could be about anything, for kind or teens it could be relationship, loneliness, for adults it could be family, kids, job, parents etc. we might be smiling on the outside but we might be sinking from the inside.
